PROEXPORVAL CIA. LTDA., Ecuadorian Tax ID (RUC) No. 1792842301001, with registered address at Calle Los Robles E14-20 and Los Romeros, San Isidro del Inca, Quito, Ecuador, is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through the website epiqfruits.com (“the Site”).

Applicable legal framework

This Site processes visitors’ personal data in accordance with Ecuador’s Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and its General Regulation. Because Epiq Fruits receives visitors and commercial inquiries from other countries, where relevant we also apply internationally recognized data protection principles (data minimization, purpose limitation, and transparency), in line with frameworks such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), for visitors to whom it applies.

Data we collect

Through the Site’s contact form, we collect the following data, which you provide voluntarily:

• Company or farm name, depending on the type of inquiry
• Destination country or farm location
• Fruit(s) of interest or grown, estimated volume, preferred Incoterm, or certifications, as applicable
• Message and any other information you choose to include in your inquiry

Additionally, through web analytics tools (Google Analytics) we automatically collect technical browsing data, such as IP address, device type, browser, and pages visited. Details on these technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.

Purpose of processing

We use your personal data to:

• Respond to your commercial inquiries and quote requests.
• Evaluate and manage business relationships with buyers and growers/suppliers.
• Improve the Site’s content and performance based on aggregated browsing data.
• Comply with legal and tax obligations applicable to PROEXPORVAL CIA. LTDA. in Ecuador.

We do not use your personal data for purposes other than those described here without first obtaining your consent.

Legal basis for processing

The processing of your data is based on the free, prior, express, and informed consent you provide by voluntarily completing the Site’s contact form, as well as on PROEXPORVAL CIA. LTDA.’s legitimate interest in responding to commercial inquiries related to its fruit export business.

We currently manage inquiries directly through our email address hola@epiqfruits.com, without relying on third-party CRM tools; should this change in the future, we will update this section accordingly. We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and, for confirmed business relationships, for up to 5 years after the last contact — a period that comfortably covers the retention requirements under Ecuadorian tax and corporate regulations. After this period, your data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

Under the LOPDP, you have the right to:

• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.

If you believe the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations, you have the right to file a complaint with Ecuador’s Data Protection Authority.

Minors

The Site is aimed at a business audience (buyers and growers in the fruit export sector) and is not intended for minors. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
